India’s vibrant young demographic offers immense potential for national resurgence. Ameya Roti Kapda Aur Makaan India Pvt. Ltd. (ARKM India Pvt. Ltd.) aims to tap this potential which aligns well with the aspirations of the youth and the current policies of the Govt. But challenges such as of educated unemployment and substandard education hinder this overarching vision to overcome poverty and social stagnation. Unemployment is a critical issue that continues to challenge the economic landscape of India. As world’s most populous nations with a diverse workforce, fluctuations in the unemployment rate have far-reaching implications for the country’s growth and development. As per the latest data from the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE) the unemployment rate was 7.8 percent in September 2024 which translates to approximately 10.9 Cr unemployed youth.

Recognizing the severity of this issue, a socially driven group of senior veterans and eminent citizens, led by a highly decorated Lieutenant General, has launched a unique initiative to mitigate the unemployment problem facing the nation. Drawing extensively from military and NGO leadership experience, the group aims to address unemployment by creating sustainable townships that integrate upskilling, employment and community living.

This initiative aims to generate tens of thousands of jobs. The average middle-class Indian struggles lifelong to secure a home, provide for their family, and settle their children. The purpose of ARKM India Pvt. Ltd. is to break this cycle early and employ a 360-degree approach by addressing necessities of food, temporary shelter, upskilling, and employment, with the ultimate commitment to buy a home. The model envisions unemployed youth becoming self-reliant.
